>>Just noticing that our wine rack has seven, yes seven empty bottles of wine. And one unopened bottle (which happens to be Mommy's Time Out). Granted, I'm keeping the empty ones to give to my aunt who makes decorations out of them, but it's just weird to look at. Can't imagine how it must look to any guests we have over. But we really don't have many guests other than family, so...yeah.
>>Not knowing if it's normal to leave S sit in her hammock chair with a toy while I play around on the computer. I always feel guilty about this, but I can't play with her all day right? Am I giving her enough stimulation each day that helps her learn about the world? I know she's only four months old, but as she grows she'll need more and more interaction, and I'm always worried that I'm not giving her enough. Any advice from other moms out there?
>>Getting caught by the UPS man checking my mailbox on Monday. He just drove up, told me it's a holiday so there's no mail and that I should go take it easy. Then he threw me a dog treat for Dallas. At least he's a friendly UPS man. Dang you President's Day. Ever since we moved to New York from Washington D.C. (where Hubs and I worked with lovely goverment clients), I tend to forget those early-year Monday holidays.
Awesome
>>The amazingly mild winter we've been having here in the Northeast. Being able to go walking outside with a dog and a baby and not freeze our butts off is great. Today, saw some daffodils trying to push through the soil. Is it really going to be March next week? Please stay, beautiful sunny fifty degree days.
>>Buying S's Easter dress yesterday! And matching headband, and frilly socks, and shiny white shoes. Remembering how incredibly awesome it was each year during my childhood when my mom took my sister and I to get our Easter dresses.
>>Taking S to her very first Ash Wednesday service last night. Where she received her very first cross of ashes. Did you know that the ashes are made out of the leftover dried palm branches from the previous year's Palm Sunday? Awesome.
