I was up at eight, let Dallas (our eighteen-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix) outside, and baked two batches of cookies. Well, I guess really only one batch, since the other was just plopping pre-cut circles of dough down on a cookie sheet. But I pride myself in my peanut butter chocolate chip cookies (husband LOVES these). Made a cup of decaf. Although I don't know how motivated I'll continue to be for the remainder of the day. Gotta take S and Dallas for a walk later to enjoy the relatively warm weather we've been having. Usually I'd hate this winter so far, dreaming about snow, but having a baby during the cold months has changed that. I'll take any opportunity I have to get outside and walk around the neighborhood. Good for me and good for baby. And good for dog since he's still wondering what happened to going for a walk every morning.
motivated.
Info Post
It's ten o'clock in the morning and I've been surprisingly motivated. Which is very unlike me so early in the a.m. S and I usually lay around in bed until nine or nine-thirty. Funny thing that babies are not "supposed" to sleep on soft surfaces...S is lights out when she sleeps with me in our bed, yet she hates sleeping in her cradle. She'll sleep in a pack and play, in her little hammock bed, even sitting up in her high chair, but she will NOT sleep in that cradle. Go figure.

We'll probably be lazy this afternoon, maybe do some laundry or shop for bargains online. For baby clothes, I'm loving oldnavy and babygap at the moment. And consignment shopping (love). Of course amazon is my best friend for almost everything else. Oh! Almost forgot that we're meeting Hubs tonight at church for the annual Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner. Yum. Now what will I give up for Lent this year...?
