Awkward
>>Trying to put S in her jumperoo. Her wiggling legs somehow find their way everywhere...except into the leg holes. Oh, and my dad asking me if S wants to go play in her johnny. Me: her what?! Dad: you know, her johnny jump-up. He cracks me up.
>>Following the same person basically all the way from point A to point B during my drive from NY to PA yesterday. And the fact that we kept passing each other on the highway. And the fact that the other car was a black Escalade with tinted windows and rims...from D.C. If you have ever lived in or around D.C., you will know that this type of car is very, um, prevalent in that area.
>>Having to answer my dad's cell phone all morning because he left it at home and my mom and my sister are at work. And of course it keeps ringing because my parents are currently renovating a beach condo. Trying to explain that this is his daughter...you can call him at the office...no, I don't know what time the "countertop guy" is coming...
Awesome
>>Visiting my parents and my sister in good ole PA for a few days. Even though I'm missing Hubs and my little Dallas puppy, there really is no place like home. Seeing the looks of unconditional love on the faces of my parents as they hold their first baby granddaughter is priceless.
>>The sock monkey my mom gave to S. I was wondering the other day which of her many toys, stuffed animals, or blankets would end up being her "lovey". Would she even have a lovey? Just as I was coming to the conclusion that she would choose sucking on her knuckle over a lovey, the sock monkey came into her life.
>>Ordering cheesesteak sandwiches from the best pizza place in the entire world, which just happens to be located in a little town in Pennsylvania. Now, I've been to Philly and I live in New York, so I can safely say that I've never eaten a cheesesteak that even comes close on the yumminess scale.
>>Writing my very FIRST guest post tomorrow over at Rock Paper Scissors! Which will also include my very first (attempt at being a) hip mama style post. Plus some of what S and I are loving for her summer baby fashionista-ness. All us bloggers love us some support, right? So come on over and check it out :)
oh hey there, pennsylvania.
