A wonderful Thanksgiving week spent at "home" with my family. Done!
My parents ate up every moment with their little grand-nugget.
{BTW, I'd like to know...at what point do I finally stop referring to my parent's house as my home? I haven't lived there full-time for almost 10 years and I still catch myself doing this all. the. time.}
A super awesome successful Black Friday Online Extravaganza. Done!
Who needs long lines, freezing temps, and angry mobs when you've got all the same deals without leaving the couch? And you get to stay in your pajamas. And utilize Ebates {cha-ching}.
It just worked out better. There was NO WAY I was about to take S out into the crazy...and I feared she'd get the best of Hubs if we left her overnight.
95% of my Christmas shopping DONE. I laugh in the face of full-priced items.
A second first birthday party for the crazy girl for my side of the family to attend. Done!
She's so special to all of them. I love that she'll grow up knowing that.
Christmas lights installed to the front of our house by the ever-talented Hubs. {Almost} Done!
Now...
I'm kinda in an "aftershock" mode coming off of a week away. It's a legit feeling, right? I just spent a week at a place where I was able to relax, drink lots of coffee {uninterrupted}, watch Christmas movies without the hubby's complaints, and have a couple of doting grandparents and an aunt to chase after S. Bliss.
But now...it's back to the real deal. Paying the bills, cleaning the house, putting up the Christmas decorations. And the tree. Ugh, the tree. I love to decorate it, but it might be a challenge this year. So, no real tree for us! Not with our little whirlwind baby running around and her path of destruction :)
