nine months. off to the races.

Yesterday you turned nine whole months old and it's official: you now have been living on the brighter side of the belly for the same amount of time as you were growing in your warm little cocoon. As much as the past 3/4 of a year (what?!) has flown by, it also seems like ages ago when I was pregnant, anticipating every week that brought me closer to meeting you. I'm guessing because I can't even remember what that was like, to not have you filling up my days with all things baby. Figuring out how to make Mommy chase you around the house is just one example...you're little baby head has also been up to the following delightful escapades:

- Perfecting the art of climbing up and over everything.

- Crawling at the speed of lightening (seriously, I think you move faster than I can walk).

- Meeting the beach for the first time - we are SO thankful that you love to play in the sand and water!

- Meeting the plastic pool for the first time - big bathtub? Yes, please.

- Forcing Mommy to break out the Octagon, as you've become interested in all things other than your toys. (Update: no jail breaks, yet.)

- Finally getting your eat on. Fave foods: you're still in a committed relationship with milk, but you decided to let pears and mangos in on the fun.

- I'm sure this is a fluke (and I prob should go knock on wood), but you gave Mommy a break last night and slept from 11 to 8 with only getting up ONE time. And we even had to wake you up for church! Feeling well-rested = amazing.

Sooo happy nine months Baby Girl! Hard to believe we've already started to plan your first birthday party. But how about these next three months just move along at a snail's pace, okay? Mommy and Daddy love you more than life. We're going to go celebrate in that plastic pool. Stay tuned for those pics!
