a few things this lovely saturday. & a winner!

First of all. I want to thank everyone who left such sweet comments {here on the blog or via Facebook/Twitter} for our family at the beginning of the week when Sandy hit. Our power was restored after about 48 hours and the Internet followed along the next day. We're just thankful that nothing damaged our house or property during the storm. 

Others living near the coast in New Jersey and on Long Island and Staten Island in New York were not so lucky. And we need to keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

Next up on the list. Sweet baby girl is not feeling very good today :(

Last night was rough...S was waking up every half hour or so until I made the mommy decision to give her some medicine to help her feel more comfortable.

I can tell that she has a cold from her congestion, poor thing. And it doesn't help that we visited the doctor yesterday to get the rest of her 12-month vaccines {I never have S get more than two vaccines at a time, and the 12-month visit called for four, so we had to make a second visit}.

We have a few fun family things planned for this weekend, so I'm hoping when the nugget wakes up she's feeling a bit better. I guess now that she's older and around other kids more often, she'll be catching more colds. As I'm sure you other mommies can relate, it's just never fun when your littles are sick.
