On My Mind Tuesdays

Don't worry, you won't find any political ranting here. That doesn't mean that I couldn't get into a good argument, because well...I most certainly could. But I'm not really into receiving hate comments, so I'm not going to be bashing anyone today.

That also doesn't mean I won't be going on a bashing tour extrodonnaire if Wednesday morning comes and the election turns out differently than I'm hoping {and praying} it will.
Again, THAT won't be found on here. I've said it before--I'm pretty darn political, but my blog is not.
It just might leak into my Facebook and Twitter accounts though...:)

If you've read my "about us" page or know me on a deeper level {lucky you} you'll know that I am conservative and I will be voting Republican.
Why?
{Try not to blow a gasket or anything.}
I'll only say that my "view point" has absolutely nothing to do with being racist
and everything to do with my values and what I believe in.
I believe that our country is heading in a dangerously wrong direction.
I believe that we can't afford the debt that is piling up.
I believe it's scary that the unemployment rate is not decreasing enough. {And we're not really taking any successful measures to help people get and keep good jobs.}
I believe that the income tax should be lowered for everyone.
And that everyone who holds a job should be paying their taxes.
And if you're able, you should be required to get and keep a job in order to be on welfare.
I believe that unborn babies of any age should have the right to life.
I believe in the right to bear arms {but need to obtain a permit for owning/buying ANY gun}.
I believe in tax breaks for small businesses.
I believe in the Constitution and the rights that our beautiful country was founded on.
I believe we need to band together and move in a new, different direction than the one that we've been on for the past four years.
Really, for the sake of our country's future and for the future our our children.

I'm not trying to change anyone's mind on who to vote for today.
I'm simply speaking my mind and sharing my values with you all.
If anything, we all have the right {and it's our duty to our country} to vote, so I encourage everyone to get out there and do so. For whichever candidate you're backing. Even if you live in a state that always votes one way and you wonder if your vote even counts. Like little old me here in New York. I'm still voting!
{Don't forget to vote for your local offices, too!}
So. We all have our reasons.
And...so does God.
Whoever ends up as our next President was put there by God for a reason.
I just hope for the sake of America that we're given the gift of starting down a new path.

Sidenote...bear with me. I don't get all this "early voting" crap. Not to be confused with absentee ballots. Sets up the process for even MORE errors.
Just go out there today and vote along with everyone else.

One more thing. I strangely wish the little nugget was the baby in that photo above. Celeb status.

Okay? Okay. Thanks for listening {or not} to my tangents.
Happy Voting!
