Info Post
It's that time again. Guest post a la my lovely sis! This month, she's talking about her numero uno picks for inpromptu beach getaways. Or planned beach vacations. Or whatever might be your little heart's summer destiny. Me, I'm in love with the sunglasses and the bag, and the adorb bathing suit...although I'd need to sport a bottom with more, um, coverage of the belly. (Still have those last five baby weight pounds to lose. Think I can do it before July?)

Seeing as my sister and I are still newbies to this big'ol blogging world, we decided it would be fun to write a guest post on each other's blogs every month.  Now last month I wrote this post here about my favorite trends I'm seeing this spring for the upcoming summer months.  So check it out if you missed it!

As I do with most everything in my life, I am greatly anticipating the summer months ahead and all the time I will (hopefully) be spending in a foldable chair with my feet in the sand.  With all of this anticipation and the temperatures creeping in, I'm itching with the idea of packing up and heading to the beach.  This obviously has my mind wondering on what I would pack, and what is obviously a must have (or at least a few key items) for these glorious planned trips, or impromptu excursions, to the beach.

And find them all:

Now, like I said, these are simply not the only things that I would need for a quick get away to all things sandy and sunny, but they are the proper essentials.  Now substitute have you will with the bathing suit, but I adore the trends of mixing and matching of patterns and solids (and half the time I'm not too sure if my suits even should go together, but they work).  A hat to shield the sun, a large tote to pack in all of the other essentials, ie: magazines, books, lotion, towels, snacks, etc, and shades for the late afternoons when the tide is high and a cold drink is in your hand.  I choose simple pieces for all adventures off of the beach.  A shimmery tanks with some crisp linen shorts for an ice cream cone on the boardwalk, a maxi dress for dinner, and throw on that 3/4 sleeve shirt for a cool salt air breeze while wondering up and down the boardwalk.
