Is it actually the middle of June already? I really can't grasp how fast the weeks pass lately. Maybe because the summertime has always been my favorite season and we always have so many things planned to look forward to. Especially this year being S's first summer, I'd really like time to move a little slower. Keep her in babyhood a little longer. Pinky swear? Okay, good.
Now that we know summer's agreed to stay around, here's my favorites from this week.
(1) Mini-makeover to our house: new garage doors! No more taking bets on if the door will actually close or not. Or better yet, if it will open. These new beauties are steel. They're quiet. They make our 40-year-old house look 25 again. Hot stuff.
(2) The Hunger Games. Yes, I'm 100 years behind the bandwagon, but I'm still pretty much obsessed. I tell ya, you've got to be a pretty amazing novelist to make me read a book in three days flat when I already know the ending. Puh-leeeez let the next two books be as good!
(3) Sunny and 70 degree days the majority of the week. Perfect for spending mornings on walks around the neighborhood. (btw, Baby Bjorn, I love you.) My dog agrees. He practically follows me around the house until put on those sneakers.
(4) Our litte gymnast slash climber. She's all over the house. Last night I came downstairs to find her...nowhere. Apparently the laundry room is very interesting. After slight heart failure, it was pretty funny.
(5) A weekend at home, filled with birthday parties and celebrating Hubs' first Father's Day. I hope you know how much you mean to S and to me. When I see the ways you care for our little family and all you do for us, I realize how many blessings would be missing if it wasn't for you.
