Info Post
This year, I'm expecting summer to be tons more fun seeing that I now have my baby on the outside and not on the inside. Even though I loved her in there and I can't complain about my pregnancy (it was pretty much near perfect), she did make for a doubly hot May through September. Even the day we brought her home in early October, it was 80 degrees. I've already apologized for putting her in that fleece pumpkin outfit.

Soooo...since it is gloriously the first of June and according to me summer has officially started, I've decided to dedicate this Friday to the top things I adore about the summer season. Link up in the comments if you want to play along. I'd love to hear about your summer faves!

- Bethany Beach, Delaware. My family has been going there my entire life, so it's safe to say that town is in my blood. Yes, we do make an unsuspecting beach-goer take our photo. Every year.
- Sundresses. My aunt would second this. She shops for sundresses like it's her job.
- The sun staying up past 9 pm.
- Fourth of July and picnics and pools by day, fireworks and marshmallows by night. (Remember how Dad used to make us wear jeans and long sleeves so we wouldn't get bug bites? And how much we hated it?)
- Ankle bracelets, made by my aunt. S gets her very first one this year!
- Walking the beach in the morning and in the evening. Finding shells.
- The boardwalk and then getting some convenience store ice cream that could only taste so good because it is mixed with the sea air.
- Bike riding on the trail with my Dad (something I dearly miss).
- Grilling everything!
- Spending nearly every Friday morning at the Farmers' Market.
- Just laying on the beach, listening to the waves and people talking, kids screaming.
- The fact that my mom and sister work in the school system and they have off every summer. Which means S and I get to see them more often. (Even though I love wear we live and would not change that, it's hard living three hours away from your family. Especially when you have their first grandchild.)
- The rose bushes in our backyard. Simple beauty.
- Summer thunderstorms. Even though Dallas spends them shaking like a leaf and glued to my side.
- HersheyPark and Dutch Wonderland.
- Tan lines. I'm ready to make up for last year and being totally white.
- Baby sunhats and sunglasses. She's ready!
