Welcome to Nugget On A Budget's Bloggy Friends Week!
I haven't done a guest post in awhile so when I read that Kera was looking for guest posters while she is wedding crashing in Arizona I knew I had to do it! Plus one of the topics she thought would be fun to write about is how you met your spouse and I love how I met mine! So here goes!
This week I'm in Arizona with Hubs and Baby Girl for our friend's wedding {having a fabulous time!}. I've rounded up a few of my bloggy besties and two other awesome ladies to guest post on here while I'm gone.
I hope you enjoy getting to know these lovelies as much as I did!
Jennifer blogs over at I wanna feel that fire... and she's one of my favorite bloggy friends. She blogs a bit about everything and about whatever is on her mind. AND this is so exciting--on Friday she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy! He joins his big sister and big doggy brother :) Congratulations to Jenn and her family on their new little addition!

In August 2010 I was a single (almost divorced) stay at home mom and got a text from an ex-coworker friend saying her brother was newly single and looking to date again and asked if she could give him my number.. Umm heck yes you can! About a week later I got a call from him asking if I wanted to go out that Saturday, I agreed and we set a time and gave him my address.. A few days later my grandma got really sick so I went to stay with her for about a week and had to postpone my date. I was bummed but family comes first for me. He understood and we talked a few times that week.
The week before the date I was so nervous and excited I was posting a countdown on my facebook like every day! When the day came I was like a nervous wreck. But he showed up, with flowers. I had never been on a date where he brought me flowers. We decided on Applebee's for dinner and we talked the whole drive to the restaurant and all during dinner. It was nice, we really had a connection and a lot in common. After dinner we went to a movie, Going the Distance. And then he took me home. I texted him a little while after he dropped me off and told him I had a really good time and I hoped we could do it again.
A week later he made me dinner at his house. A week after that I met his parents. A few months later we were living together. A year and 20 days after we met we got married and here we are a little over 2 years later and we're getting ready to have a baby. I truly believe this man is my soul mate and I am forever grateful that his sister set us up.
So there's my story! I hope you'll come check out my blog.
