i'm a VBA kinda girl.

While the fam and I were out celebrating corn and seeing old friends on Saturday (more about that coming next week)...I was being awarded another blog award! Which makes me a super happy mama, my blog getting all this recent love and attention. ...At least from what I classify as a lot.

So what did I receive, may you ask? Well...

Whitney from Sippy Cups and Pearls nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award! She's one of my fav.or.ite bloggy friends and lovely sponsor and the author of a pretty fantastic blog (really...you need to check it out.)

Naturally, I'm flattered that at least one person thinks my blog is on its way to accomplishing great things. Only takes one to believe in something, right?

1. Lately, I forgo precious sleep just to work on vamping up my blog/answering comments/brainstorm what's gonna happen next in my new (and quite unexpected) life of a mommy-blogger.

2. Two of my absolutely favorite things to do with my mom and sister are: (a) have coffee together in the a.m. and (b) spend the whole day shopping, no time limit (and no $$ limit, I wish!)

3. I'm obsessed with hunting down amazing deals at consignment shops and yard sales.

4. I could eat a whole pan of brownies myself. In one day. (I contribute my successful post-baby pound shedding solely to breastfeeding and walking the dog. No diets for this mama!)

5. I love the church we attend and its amazing people. They're part of our family.

6. I've mastered the art of taking half-decent photos with my crappy point-and-shoot from 2007.

And I'm pretty proud of it!

7. I'm debating whether I should open up at Etsy shop for the hair accessories I make for S. I get discouraged because there's SO many shops selling baby headbands and the like. What do you guys think? Should I do it?

Rockin' for a Sunday afternoon, no? This blog has got my heart. I hope I can learn why God has given me this passion and use it for His purpose. Thanks again Whitney for the nomination!
