Seriously, another entire month just sped by at the speed of lighting. I can't imagine that you are only two months away from being one year old. Really?! Yet, it's hard for me to remember those days when you could only lounge in your sleeper, focused on figuring out how to get your hand in your mouth and sleeping the afternoon away. Six months later and you need to be micro-chipped when the Octagon's not containing you and "NO" (in your baby world) means stop, look at Mommy, smile, continue on merry way.
Escapades the little adventurous one has been up to lately...
>> You said your first word! BABY. No matter that "baby" refers to practically everything. You say it so clearly with all those teeth of yours and I swear you could pass for an 18-month-old. So smart.
>> And it could be my proud mommy brain, but I swear you're whispering "what's that" when you intently point at something with that chubby baby finger.
>> That little stubborn girl (all Daddy) who barely ate a spoonful of food until she was nine months old...is now chowing down two or three meals a day. You're loving all fruits and veggies so far, and oatmeal. Obsessed with puffs. Of course, all veggies MUST be mixed with at least one fruit.
>> Watch out Usain Bolt, 'cause Miss S is about to give you a run for your money. Literally. The walker doesn't mean nothin'.
>> Seven teeth! With another one ready to pop. Mommy loves your toothy grin these days.
>> You're totally into throwing things (cups, blocks, cell phones) and playing with Dallas' toys, a la above.
>> Forget about crawling, that's old news. And pulling yourself to a standing position? Psssh, easy. You've become a little risk-taker by standing all by yourself (look ma, no hands!) and figuring out that standing on your toys makes you tall enough to see over the top of that Octagon wall. Possibly planning your escape.
>> This summer you've been a busy lady! Played mini-golf, been to a water park, a wedding, bridal showers and baby showers, become a big cousin, and traveled to the beach three times. Not to mention those parties Mommy and Daddy take you to. A well-rounded baby I must say.
Happy ten months to our happy baby! We love you more with each day.
ten months. into everything.
