Info Post
We were home. No travels, no weddings, no parties. Actually, S and I did go to my best friend's bridal shower Sunday afternoon, but by Sunday afternoon the weekend is practically over so it doesn't count (in my book). And even though I had the little munchkin in tow, getting away for the shower was very fun and very refreshing. Especially because I don't get to see my bff very often.

But we made her wear the hat anyway. Payback.

And S helped me write down all of Aunt Tracey's gifts. Along with demanding attention from the camera.

Back to my original reason for this post...our Saturday projects. The husband and I (mainly Hubs) broke out our tools and creativity (like I said, mainly Hubs) and played the roles of homeowners for once.

1. Our defense against the little explorer who lives with us.
2. Plant gets a new pot.
3. Back door gets a makeover.
4. Rusted white chair begins a new life in blue.
5. Mulching up a flower bed along the front walkway.

Very small projects on the scale of what we eventually want to do to the house and yard. By eventually I mean in five or ten years when we have a decent savings account again. I seriously don't even know where all the money is draining out from. I swear we don't buy anything additional to our normal monthly expenses. On the bright side: I'm becoming a master thrift and consignment shopper. Which I always wanted to do. So yeah, take THAT credit card bills and dumb $4 gas prices. And lame New York sales tax.
